Thermowaste has been selected as a participating company in the Resource project, a European initiative led by the Department of Economy of the Government of Aragon that supports the development of regional projects to promote a circular economy. The project aims to obtain funding of 20 million euros.
Thermowaste has been one of the 13 companies selected to be part of Resource, with the project located in Thermowaste’s Assembly and Test Center (CEET) in Ariño. It consists of an advanced pilot plant for waste treatment by means of the patented process of Limpulación. This process transforms municipal solid waste (MSW) into clean and manipulable materials, which can be reintroduced into production cycles and enable a circular economy.
This achievement underscores Thermowaste’s outstanding position as a pioneer in the adoption and promotion of sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices in the region. It has demonstrated its commitment to finding innovative solutions to current challenges in waste and resource treatment, and inclusion in the Resource project is a validation of Thermowaste’s approach.
The CEET has a key role to play in accelerating the circular economy in the region, as through its process of Limpulación it contributes significantly to the reuse of valuable resources and the reduction of the environmental footprint.
With the financial support provided by the Resource project, Thermowaste will be supported to further expand and refine its operations related to the circular economy, benefiting both the company and the environment in which it operates.
This step will not only generate economic advantages, but will also set an inspiring precedent for other regions and companies seeking to contribute to sustainable development through the circular economy.
