The Thermowaste Center in Teruel will receive a grant for investment projects in localities affected by mining closures

The Department of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development grants to the Centro de Ensamblaje y Ensayos de Thermowaste (CEET) in Ariño an aid destined to investment projects located in those municipalities affected by the decarbonization processes, with the closure of the mining activity, in the province of Teruel.

A total of 15 projects will be beneficiaries of the aid charged to the Investment Fund of Teruel (FITE).

The Thermowaste project in Ariño will be carried out in the former facilities of SAMCA, in a clear commitment of the company for the reindustrialization of the Cuencas Mineras de Teruel, an area traditionally linked to coal extraction and which, due to the decarbonization policies and the closure of activity of companies such as SAMCA, have been especially affected.
