Meeting at the Economy Department of the Government of Aragón

The Thermowaste Assembly and Testing Center (CEET) in the town of Ariño will be declared in the Government Council as a project of autonomic interest by the Government of Aragón.

The news has been announced after the meeting which has taken place in the Pignatelli Government Building in Zaragoza, where the Councilor of Economy, Planning and Employment, Marta Gastón, together with the General Director of Planning and Economic Development, Miguel Luis Lapeña, have received Oscar Ribas, CEO of Thermowaste. The mayor of Ariño, Joaquín Noé, was also present at the meeting.

The plant is located in the former facilities of Samca in Ariño, which were left in disuse after the closure of the coal mine.

The facilities will have a laboratory oriented to the research of new by-products and applications for the recovered materials, as well as a process line which will show the operation of the solution which converts urban solid waste into clean and manipulable materials. In addition, the patented equipment will also be assembled and shipped to its final location.

The project will accelerate the transition to a circular economy, while opening up social and economic opportunities in the region.
