Thermowaste recognized as the Vallesan Company of the year

The Vallesà 2021 Awards Gala, organized by 9Nou, the Regional Council of Vallès Oriental and PIMEC, presented Thermowaste with the Territorial Leadership award.

KH Lloreda SA and Neftis Laboratorios SL were the other two finalists.

In this 3rd edition, the president of PIMEC Vallès Oriental, Daniel Boil, highlighted the commitment of the three companies with the people and the environment.

While collecting the award, Oscar Ribas, CEO of Thermowaste, emphasized the amount of waste that each of us generate every day. He exemplified this with two iconic buildings in the city of Barcelona: the Sagrada Familia, which when its work is completed in 2026 is expected to reach a height of 172m, making it the tallest church in the world, and the Barça Field playing field, with a surface area of 7,140m2.

“Let’s imagine that we have a box with the surface area of the Barça Field and as high as 7 times the Sagrada Familia. This would be the box where would fit the waste we produce in Catalonia in 1 year, and most of this waste ends up being deposited in landfills despite efforts to carry out a selective collection.”
